Bahia Bay Property Owners Association, Inc. was formed in 1984 to further the quality of life in Bahia Bay. Association business is handled on a day-to-day basis by the elected Board of Directors, consisting of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director. In addition, three property owners are appointed to an Architectural Control Committee that closely monitors construction in Bahia Bay. The Board of Directors also appoints committees, such as the Landscape Committee, Website Committee, and Bulkhead Committee. All officers and committee members serve on a voluntary basis, and none are compensated. Most Bahia Bay property owners consider having reasonable but strictly enforced Bylaws, Restrictions, and Covenants a plus in maintaining strong property values as well as an asset that contributes to the relaxed lifestyle enjoyed by residents.
The Bylaws and the Covenants and Restrictions are the governing documents of Bahia Bay and are amended by Association vote as needed to meet the changing needs of the community. The documents and amendments are recorded in Aransas County.
